A while ago, I posted about a door that seemed to have been abandoned – the steps green with moss, ferns and branches obstructing the path. This week, I have another door which no longer seems to be in use. It’s in a rather old building – the adjacent barn is 15th century and I would imagine this to be a similar age – and is part of a school.
There is an entrance around the other side of the building, through the school gates. But this door, with its mantle of green, seems to have been forgotten. I wonder how long it’s been since someone walked through?
This is my entry for Norm 2.0’s Thursday Doors Challenge – for more doors, or to add one of your own, visit Norm’s site and click the link 🙂
There’s always something creepy about nature claiming old abandoned buildings, don’t know why.
Yes. I think it’s the reminder of how unnecessary we are.
This building is still in use, but that door hasn’t been opened in a long time, by the look of it.
Love it. 😊
Thanks, Kev 😀
ooh, makes me wonder what the inside looks like. LOVE abandoned stuff 😀
Yes, me too! I wonder why they’ve chosen to abandon this door… So many stories 🙂
